Huawei improving Nova 13 Pro/Mate X7 with EMUI September 2026 update
EMUI September 2026 update is now rolling out for the Huawei Nova 13 Pro and Mate X7 foldable. The firmware is coming with a new security patch to fix known software flaws and protect the device from malware that can lead to data leaks.
Security patches are important as they stop evolving viruses on the device and eliminate bugs or weak spots in the operating system that can result in privacy exploits.
Huawei Nova 13 Pro is receiving the new September 2026 update with EMUI version 14.2.0.180, while the Mate X7 foldable is tagged with the 15.0.0.167 build number.
The changelog for both devices is the same:

Apart from the security patch, the update doesn’t bring any new features to the devices. But you may observe certain performance optimizations with this firmware. The update is rolling out in a phased manner and may take some time to reach all the eligible units.
