Huawei RTN 5100 debuts as secure wireless backhaul solution for enterprises

Huawei has introduced a new-generation RTN 5100 wireless solution based on a public spectrum point-to-multipoint microwave framework. The specific technology doubles the transmission capacity and the security of air interface encryption for enterprises.

RTN or Radio Transmission Node, is used for wireless backhaul and midhaul connections in mobile or device networks, connecting base stations like BTS, eNodeB, and more to the core network.

The new-gen Huawei RTN 5100 wireless backhaul solution offers low power consumption, convenient installation and maintenance, high reliability, and provides an efficient, secure, and convenient wireless solution for IT sites and enterprise users.

It operates on the 5GHz public spectrum. A single RTN 5100 can support up to two channels with a throughput of 1 Gbps each and can connect up to 128 remote sites.

Besides, it is the right choice for various flexible networking modes such as point-to-multipoint, point-to-point, and long-chain relay as per service needs, meeting demands for 4K ultra-high-definition video, broadband Internet access, and massive sites.

RTN 5100 also has TDMA (Time Division Multiple Access) working mode that can allow stable as well as orderly access across various sites. At the same time, it avoids interference and conflicts with traditional multi-point access.
