Beware of scams; Dubai Police issues alerts for residents ahead of Global Village’s reopening
Global Village – the one thing we’ve been waiting for all year long is due to make its return soon, but along with it comes a warning on fraudulent sites, issued by the Dubai Police themselves. While the masses are most excited about the fair returning for season 31, there are lingering fears of being susceptible to being duped by scammers.

Over the years, the seasonal fair has become fan favourite and a much awaited affair in Dubai. With trendy food districts, stalls that’s got nearly everything from every country, opportunities to haggle your favourites for the best price. The place basically has got it all. And every year the experience get an upgrade with the VIP packs that gives visitors access to numerous perks like VIP parking access, VIP entry tickets, Wonder Pass cards and also a surprise worth Dhs31,000 for one lucky buyer.
But here’s the catch: with the packs in such high demand, scammers are also looking to cash in.
How can you avoid such scams?
While such scams have resurfaced in Dubai every year, Dubai Police have issued warnings against clicking on fraudulent links that are often spread online and across social media platforms. Although this may be a recurring theme, authorities have taken it upon themselves to alert people on clone websites and social media accounts that very closely resemble official pages, that often cause users into believing they are on an legitimate website. These fake websites and links could potentially leave you vulnerable to loss of money and personal information. It is inherently the sole responsibility of the residents to take necessary caution and stay vigilant against the scams.
Global Village has recently released its VIP Packs for the upcoming season, which will be sold in stages and can be purchased exclusively through Coca-Cola Arena’s website. The pre-sales will be running from September 21 to 25, allowing all guests to purchase their preferred choice of packs, while general sales will begin from September 26. Any other tickets and packages can be availed directly through the Global Village website or the mobile app in October.
While this may be a period when UAE residents fawn over the fair’s return or even have tourists fly out to specifically visit it. It is of utmost importance to always take a moment to verify the website or source to protect yourself from financial losses and data theft.

Here are the VIP pack options you need to know of:
There are four main VIP Packs to choose from, with prices starting at Dhs1,890.
The Silver Pack costs Dhs1,890, while the Gold Pack is Dhs2,490.
For a more premium option, the Platinum Pack is Dhs3,490, and the top-tier Diamond Pack costs Dhs7,900.
Priority booking fees also apply during the pre-order period, ranging from Dh200 for Silver to Dhs1,000 for Diamond.
