Croissant-lovers: bkry to open its first outlet in Abu Dhabi this October
The flaky crusts of bkry is coming to Abu Dhabi very soon
Croissant-lovers, you’re in for a treat; bkry is coming to the capital this October. The new location will introduce an extensive selection of dishes created exclusively for The Arcades, alongside a dedicated Grab & Go concept for guests seeking something quick without compromising on the craft and quality at the heart of bkry.
The restaurant will open with a brand new Grab & Go concept, featuring ready-to-eat dishes, fresh produce, and retail products in a format created specifically for the location. Extending beyond bkry’s own kitchen, Chef Kameel Rasyid has personally selected local suppliers to collaborate on elements of the offering, bringing independent producers into the bkry experience and creating a retail selection rooted in local craftsmanship and community.
“Everything has been selected with the same care we bring to what comes out of our own kitchen,” said Chef Rasyid, Co-Founder and Head Chef of bkry.
In terms of the vibe, visitors can expect warm timber, exposed concrete and terrazzo come together throughout the interior, complemented by olive-toned seating, communal tables and a marble-topped coffee bar. An open bakery and pastry display brings the making process into view, while arched windows connect the space with the surrounding courtyard.
The Grab & Go menu includes the granola yoghurt bowl, layered with hung vanilla yoghurt, strawberry compote, fresh berries and passion fruit; the Beef Bulgogi Wrap, with baby gem with wagyu beef bulgogi, grilled corn kernels, black beans, chopped tomato, shredded mozzarella and sushi rice; the Haloumi Sandwich, bringing ciabatta with grilled haloumi, grilled vegetables, parmigiano, rocket pesto dressing, sundried tomato pesto, herbs and mustard aioli; and the Chicken Teriyaki Sandwich, made with shokupan & marinated chicken breast, yakitori tare, sesame dressing, kewpie, house tonkatsu, carrots, cucumber and roasted sesame.
Beyond Grab & Go, The Arcades introduces a wider menu of dishes available exclusively at the new location. From the bakery come a Coconut Croissant and Chocolate Peanut Caramel Babka, while savoury additions include the Korean Chicken Sando, layered with breaded chicken breast with honey gochujang glaze, house shokupan, kewpie mayo, onion tonkatsu, cabbage slaw and pickled gherkins, alongside the Beetroot & Orange Salad roasted beetroot with spiced yogurt, orange segments, sourdough croutons, orange dressing, roasted pumpkin & sesame seeds, greek feta cheese and basil cress.
With its combination of familiar bkry signatures, The Arcades-exclusive dishes, and a new approach to Grab & Go, the Abu Dhabi opening marks the next chapter for bkry as it continues to grow while keeping craft, creativity, and community at its core.
