The 0 times table is one of the easiest multiplication facts to learn. When you multiply any whole number by 0, the product is always 0.

For example:

  • 0 × 1 = 0
  • 0 × 5 = 0
  • 0 × 10 = 0
  • 0 × 25 = 0
  • 0 × 100 = 0

Multiplication by 0 can be understood as having zero groups. If there are no groups, there are no objects altogether. Learning this idea helps students understand why every number multiplied by 0 has a product of 0.
