ProVUE Development has released Panorama X 10.2.4, updating the relational database app for macOS 27 Golden Gate and upcoming changes in California’s sales tax assessment. You can now add, remove, or change items in the Panorama X and Help menus via the standardpanoramamenu( and standardhelpmenu( functions, and bespoke menus created with the helpmenu( function will include the special Spotlight Search area that is standard for Help menus in Mac applications. The update adjusts the runningappinfo( function to provide a list of running apps that have a menu bar (excluding background apps), adds the UnHideOtherApplications statement to make all other apps visible, and enables the OpenWizard statement to allow a full path to be supplied (instead of just a wizard name).
To comply with new legislation that adds sales tax to all software sales made to California customers, owners of current Panorama licenses will need to update to version 10.2.4 and make a payment to extend their license before the law kicks in on 1 January 2027. Panorama X uses a pricing system that charges $15 for a credit that covers a month of use. A year’s subscription of 12 credits costs $100, which works out to $8.33 per month.
