Katy Perry is bringing Firework to Dubai on the one night it makes perfect sense
If there’s one night Dubai knows how to go big, it’s New Year’s Eve – and Atlantis, The Palm has just given us another reason to start planning early. Katy Perry will take to the stage for the resort’s iconic New Year’s Eve Gala Dinner, bringing a live performance to Palm Jumeirah before the sky takes over at midnight.

It’s been nearly two decades since Katy Perry released One of the Boys in 2008, and the numbers since then are pretty wild. She’s clocked up more than 115 billion streams, sold over 143 million tracks worldwide and became the first artist in RIAA history to earn three Diamond singles with Firework, Dark Horse and Roar. Those three are all on the cards for her New Year’s Eve Dubai performance, alongside Last Friday Night and more fan favourites.
That signature sound
Big pop songs made for singing along to are very much the brief here. Perry will perform live on Atlantis, The Palm’s outdoor stage, with a setlist pulling from the hits that have followed her through almost two decades of pop. And yes, hearing Firework shortly before actual fireworks light up the Palm feels particularly appropriate.

New Year’s Eve at Atlantis, The Palm
The night starts at 6pm with Champagne, canapés and roaming entertainment before guests move to the custom-built outdoor deck overlooking Palm Jumeirah. A 30-piece live band will perform throughout the evening, while dinner covers everything from lobster and caviar to sushi, live cooking stations and desserts. Then comes Katy Perry, followed by the midnight countdown and a fireworks display stretching across the skyline from Atlantis, The Palm to Atlantis The Royal. Premium seating starts from Dhs8,500 for guests aged 14 and above, while Rouge Circle tickets start from Dhs10,500 and Golden Circle from Dhs14,500. VIP Sky Suites are also available from Dhs250,000 for up to 10 guests.
