We launched NYU’s Democracy Project with a series of 100 essays in 100 days on how a range of people, from the US and internationally, saw the challenges facing democracies in our era. The subjects we covered included elections, polarization, civic education, religion, technology, courts, and many others. Our contributors reflected a spectrum of ideological perspectives.
We had no vision of turning this series into a book when we started. But the essays we received were so good, with so many original thoughts and perspectives, that we decided they deserved a more permanent home. And in incredibly rapid speed, NYU Press helped us turn these essays into a book, which was published this week. The book can be found at Amazon, at this link.
