Electroacupuncture for Postoperative Ileus: Critical Gaps in Mechanistic Validation and Clinical Relevance
I commend Pei et al1 for their rigorous multicenter trial evaluating electroacupuncture (EA) in reducing postoperative ileus (POI) after laparoscopic gastrectomy. Although the study demonstrates statistically significant benefits of EA, several aspects warrant further exploration.
