The 21-year-old reality TV star was announced as the winner during the grand finale of the BBNaija Season 11 “Show Ya Sef” edition on Sunday, October 4, 2026, beating Aikou and Sheba to claim the coveted title.
Temi Nkem secured 25.87 per cent of the final votes cast by viewers across Nigeria and Africa. Aikou finished as the first runner-up with 23.68 per cent, while Sheba emerged as the second runner-up with 9.80 per cent of the votes.
Her victory brings an end to one of the most talked-about seasons of Big Brother Naija, with Temi becoming the fifth female winner in the history of the reality TV show.
The grand finale was filled with performances, emotional exits and suspense as the remaining housemates waited for their names to be called. The final three contestants were Temi Nkem, Aikou and Sheba, marking a historic change from the usual final-two format as the three finalists walked onto the stage together.
When host Ebuka Obi-Uchendu finally announced the winner, it was Temi Nkem’s name that was called, officially making her the BBNaija Season 11 winner.
Temi’s journey on the show was never short of attention. From her bold personality and outspoken nature to her relationships, clashes and memorable moments in the house, the reality star consistently gave viewers something to talk about.
Her victory also came against the background of conversations about whether contestants who were raised abroad could successfully win Big Brother Naija. Temi, who was born and raised in London before coming to Nigeria, remained determined throughout the competition and eventually proved that her background would not stop her from claiming the ultimate prize.
Temi Nkem, whose real name is Temitope Chigbue, is an Accounting and Finance student and lifestyle content creator. Her official profile also lists golfing, eating and walking among her hobbies.
Following her victory, Temi walked away with a prize package valued at ₦160 million. The package includes ₦90 million in cash, a brand-new SUV and other sponsored prizes. The cash component was adjusted from the original ₦100 million after ₦10 million was allocated to the season’s Most Influential Player of the Week fund.
Temi has already spoken about what she intends to do with her winnings. In an interview following her victory, the BBNaija Season 11 winner said she plans to invest a substantial portion of her money, support her parents and complete her university education.
She also revealed that she intends to spend some time in Nigeria, explore opportunities created by her new platform and build on her growing career as a content creator.
On Tuesday, October 6, Temi officially received the ₦90 million cash prize and the new SUV that formed part of her BBNaija Season 11 winnings during the official prize presentation in Lagos.
Her victory makes Temi Nkem the latest female housemate to join the exclusive list of Big Brother Naija winners. More importantly, it marks the successful end of a journey that began when she entered the “Show Ya Sef” house as one of 24 contestants competing for the ultimate prize.
With 25.87 per cent of the final votes, Temi Nkem has officially written her name into BBNaija history.
The Show Ya Sef season may be over, but for Temi Nkem, the real journey has only just begun.
