Wales: History of a Nation by David RossMy rating: 4 of 5 stars
This is a very important and surprisingly interesting book. I have always loved going to Wales for holidays over many years, and in more recent times owned a static caravan on Anglesey. This became a base for lots of walking and wildlife watching.
The book gave many answers to very many questions formed during those times. The history from before the Vikings and Romans up to devolution was totally fascinating. I’d agree about other reviewers finding a lack of maps, particularly over the many periods of time. But the front cover had an ancient map so not quite as devastating as someone implied.
