No Water Supply For 36 hours Across Some Areas Of Hyderabad From October 5


Several parts of Hyderabad will face drinking water disruption for 36 hours, from 6am on October 5 to 6pm on October 6, while the Hyderabad Metropolitan Water Supply and Sewerage Board (HMWSSB) carries out repair work on a major water pipeline.

The maintenance work will take place on the 2,375-mm MS pumping main between Nasarlapally and Godakondla, which is part of the KDWSP Phase-II scheme. HMWSSB will replace damaged MS air tees and valves and repair a leak in the scour pipeline.

During the repairs, water supply may be fully or partly disrupted in the affected areas. Some localities may receive water at low pressure during the maintenance period.

Areas listed for disruption include Adibatla, Kammaguda, Gurramguda, BN Reddy Nagar, Vanasthalipuram, Autonagar, Alkapuri, Beerappagadda, Habsiguda, Ramanthapur, Venkat Reddy Nagar, Uppal, Nacharam, HMT Nagar, Tarnaka and Boudhanagar. Supply may also be affected in parts of Lalapet.

Other affected localities include Hasmathpet, Prakashnagar, Mekalamandi, Bholakpur (part), Padmaraonagar, Begumpet, South Central Railway, MES, Secunderabad Cantonment, Lalaguda, Addagutta, Picketgadda, Nallagutta, Gauthamnagar, Ferozguda, Bansilalpet, Ramgopalpet, Sitaphalmandi and Mettuguda.

The disruption may also affect Vaishalinagar, Meerpet, Badangpet, ARCI, Balapur, Maisaram, Barkas, NPA, Shamshabad, Madhuban and part of Prashasan Nagar. Residents in the listed areas have been advised to store water and use it judiciously during the maintenance period.
