William Grant’s Annual Sales Tally $2.3 Billion Amid Challenging Conditions

October 1, 2026

William Grant & Sons has posted sales of £1.76 billion ($2.3b) for 2025, down 4% from the previous year, with the company noting that “market conditions remained difficult throughout the year, with ongoing geopolitical and trade pressures, alongside weak consumer demand, continuing to affect industry performance.” Company profits declined 13% to £337 million ($447m) before tax. According to Impact Databank, William Grant’s U.S. volume totals approximately 3.2 million cases.

William Grant CFO Graeme Jenkins noted “external pressures affecting performance across many of the company’s key markets. Against this backdrop, our focus has been on outstanding execution, while at the same time maintaining our long-term approach to brand and distillery investment. While the results reflect the current operating environment, our confidence in the long-term fundamentals of the spirits industry remains strong.”

Earlier this year, William Grant named longtime Campari executive Melanie Batchelor to lead its U.S. business. In June, the Scotland-based company tapped Edrington veteran Igor Boyadjian as chief brand officer, leading the global marketing team. Boyadjian was most recently managing director of The Macallan.

In the U.S., the William Grant portfolio as a whole slipped 4% in volume terms in control states through July, with Hendrick’s gin, Reyka vodka, and Glenfiddich single malt Scotch whisky on the rise; The Balvenie single malt and Tullamore Dew Irish whiskey roughly flat; and Milagro Tequila, Sailor Jerry rum, and others showing declines.—Daniel Marsteller
