Ghanaian rapper Strongman has released “Everlasting,” a new single featuring singer Ayisi. Produced by Apya, the song focuses on the difficult stages of pursuing success, with Strongman reflecting on setbacks, uncertainty and the challenges that come with trying to achieve personal goals.
The rapper uses his verses to move beyond the usual celebration of success, instead addressing some of the struggles that can come before it. His lyrics touch on difficult periods, moments of doubt and the persistence required to keep working towards a goal. Ayisi adds a contrasting vocal presence on the hook, bringing a more melodic layer to Strongman’s direct rap delivery.
Apya’s production blends a hip-hop foundation with melodic elements, creating space for both performers to occupy different parts of the song. Strongman delivers the verses with a firm, rapid-paced flow, while Ayisi’s smoother vocals provide the chorus with a softer texture. The combination gives “Everlasting” a balance between rap-driven sections and a more accessible melodic refrain.
The song’s central idea is that difficult periods are part of the process and do not necessarily define where a person ends up.
