Another interesting model shown in this supplement is the thin Diamond Flake pocket watch. The Diamond Flake was introduced as the world’s thinnest central seconds movement at 2.75mm, when initially released in 1962. In the pocket watch form factor the thinness of the movement is not evident, but the Diamond Flake was a very successful watch, so it is likely the pocketwatch model was just building on that success.
