Today, Huawei officially announced the Mate 90 series launch date for Thursday, October 1st. Marking it as the shortest pre-launch warm-up phase for a Huawei flagship.
The teaser image confirms the Mate 90 Pro Max with a dual-tone design, including a linear texture on the top side. It will also continue the circular camera system that is used in the predecessors.
Huawei Mate 90 series will come in four variants: Standard, Pro, Pro Max, and RS Ultimate Design. Rumors suggest a fifth model, “Max Classic”, but we’ll have to wait for the official release.
These phones will use the latest Kirin 9050 Pro, built with the Tau Law and FoldingLogic Architecture, providing almost twice the performance of the previous-generation Kirin chipset.
The Pro model sizes are likely to stay the same, including a 6.9-inch OLED screen for the top variants. This time, the company could opt for even higher display brightness up to 10,000 nits for better content visibility in broad daylight.
The display design will be flat, with tiny bezels to maximize the viewing experience for all users.
Huawei will use the new 50MP main camera with a large sensor and variable aperture technology. The top model will continue to use a 40MP ultra-wide-angle camera and a 200MP telephoto zoom. The true-to-color red maple camera will be common in all models.
The front side of the Pros will include three punch holes to house a selfie camera with a ToF sensor for better depth effect and face authentication. These Mate series phones will bring highest screen brightness in any Mate phone ever.
Moreover, the Huawei Mate 90 series will upgrade the XMAGE imaging system to improve the overall photography and videography experience for users
These phones will bring larger batteries than predecessors. The charging rate will be 100W wired, which will ship with the device.
