UFC 333 fight card revealed for Abu Dhabi this October
UFC 333 is shaping up to be a huge night in Abu Dhabi, with two UFC titles on the line at Etihad Arena on Saturday October 24
The full main card has now been revealed, with featherweight champion Alexander Volkanovski set to defend his belt against undefeated contender Movsar Evloev in the headline fight.
The event follows the announcement of UFC 333 earlier this year, with tickets already on sale from Dhs495 via Ticketmaster.
Alexander Volkanovski vs Movsar Evloev
The main event will see Australia’s Alexander Volkanovski put his UFC featherweight title on the line against Russia’s Movsar Evloev.
Volkanovski is currently the champion, while Evloev enters the bout unbeaten and ranked No.1 in the division. The fight marks Evloev’s first UFC title challenge.
It is one of two title fights scheduled for the night.
Petr Yan vs Merab Dvalishvili
The bantamweight title will also be up for grabs when Petr Yan faces Merab Dvalishvili.
The pair are set to meet for the third time, with Yan listed as the current champion and Dvalishvili ranked No.1.
Lone’er Kavanagh vs Ramazan Temirov
The flyweight division will also feature on the main card, with England’s Lone’er Kavanagh taking on Uzbekistan’s Ramazan Temirov.
Kavanagh is ranked No.6, while Temirov is ranked No.10.
Alexander Volkov vs Rizvan Kuniev
Next up is a heavyweight clash between Russia’s Alexander Volkov and fellow Russian Rizvan Kuniev.
Volkov enters the fight ranked No.2, while Kuniev is ranked No.7.
Aaron Pico vs Arnold Allen
The main card is also scheduled to feature a featherweight bout between Aaron Pico and Arnold Allen.
The UFC currently lists Allen at No.11 and Pico outside the rankings for the matchup.
UFC 333 in Abu Dhabi
UFC 333 will take place at Etihad Arena on Yas Island on Saturday October 24, bringing another major night of MMA action to Abu Dhabi.
The main card is scheduled to begin at 8pm UAE time, with the preliminary card starting at 6pm.
