Huawei Consumer Business Group Unit CEO – He Gang recently shared a new video, confirming that the company is working on a blood sugar testing device. The innovative product is in the making and will probably debut by next year.
In the video clip, the chief executive officer shared his experience of attending the 2027 Huawei graduate recruitment presentation at Peking University.
During his keynote, a student questioned whether the company could offer them about three to five years to explore a project if they could deliver a clear and tangible outcome at the earliest (probably within a year).
Responding to the student, He Gang said that Huawei values long-term impact and contribution. The company is not in a hurry to produce results every year.
Following the statement, the chief revealed that Huawei is working on a new blood sugar testing device, which will launch in the near future. The product is still in the development phase and may take some more time before its release in the market.
He Gang said:
“The new blood sugar testing technology has undergone four years of research before reaching an acceptable and commercially viable stage. As long as the work is done well enough, Huawei can continuously give everyone more time to explore and refine it.”
Notably, the Watch 4 series was the world’s first wearable from the Huawei device family to support a high blood sugar risk assessment study. Looks like the company is now up to taking this functionality to the next level.
