Etihad Rail tickets from Dubai to Abu Dhabi are now on sale from just Dhs39, ahead of the opening of the new Dubai station on September 30, 2026.
The first trains will run between Dubai Station and Abu Dhabi Station, with the journey taking just 1 hour and 4 minutes.
Tickets start from Dh39 for Comfort class, while Premium class tickets start from Dhs109.
Etihad Rail Dubai to Abu Dhabi times
On the first day of service, there will be several direct trains running between Dubai and Abu Dhabi.
The first train leaves Dubai Station at 6.14am, arriving at Abu Dhabi Station at 7.18am.
Other departures from Dubai to Abu Dhabi are scheduled for:
- 6.14am, arrives in Abu Dhabi at 7.18am
- 7.14am, arrives in Abu Dhabi at 8.18am
- 1.14pm, arrives in Abu Dhabi at 2.18pm
- 5.14pm, arrives in Abu Dhabi at 6.18pm
- 6.14pm, arrives in Abu Dhabi at 7.18pm
The first train will leave Abu Dhabi at 6.43am, arriving at Dubai Station at 7.47am.
Other departures from Abu Dhabi to Dubai are scheduled for:
- 6.43am, arrives in Dubai at 7.47am
- 7.43am, arrives in Dubai at 8.47am
- 12.43pm, arrives in Dubai at 1.47pm
- 4.43pm, arrives in Dubai at 5.47pm
- 5.43pm, arrives in Dubai at 6.47pm
All services shown are direct, with a journey time of 1 hour and 4 minutes.
Comfort tickets start from Dhs39, while Premium tickets start from Dhs109.

Where is the Etihad Rail Dubai station?
The Dubai station is officially called Al Yalayis Station and is located in Jumeirah Golf Estates, close to Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed Road (E311).
The station will serve communities including Al Furjan, Dubai Investment Park and Dubai South.
The new station is scheduled to open on September 30, alongside Al Dhaid Station in Sharjah.
So, if you’re heading from Dubai to Abu Dhabi, you’ll soon have another option besides getting behind the wheel.
Etihad Rail passenger stations across the UAE
Etihad Rail’s passenger network is opening in stages, with more stations set to welcome passengers over the coming months.
Here’s when the different stations are expected to open:
- Now open: Mohammed Bin Zayed City and Al Hilal, Fujairah
- September 30, 2026: Jumeirah Golf Estates, Dubai and Al Dhaid, Sharjah
- December 30, 2026: Al Dhannah, Al Mirfa, Madinat Zayed, Liwa and Al Sila
- March 30, 2027: University City, Sharjah
The phased rollout will eventually connect more communities across the UAE, making it easier to travel between the emirates by train.
