How To Find Clubs On Chess.com
Finding a chess club near you is now easier than ever. Go to our Local Clubs page, and you’ll immediately see the clubs nearest your current location.
If you’re planning a trip and want to make sure to include chess in your travel plans, don’t worry! You can use the search bar to find clubs anywhere in the world. If you’re going to Paris this year, you can plan ahead to see the city’s most iconic sites—not the Eiffel Tower or the Louvre, but rather the many chess clubs the City of Light has to offer.
Improved Clubs Experience Across Chess.com
We’ve also redesigned our entire Clubs experience on Chess.com. Your Clubs Home page now displays a section for your clubs and another to help you discover new ones. It also includes a shortcut to your federation’s club and clubs near you.
Club profile pages also have a new look, with a focus on chat and events. Upcoming events also appear as featured to facilitate and encourage participation.
Finally, we’re also improving how we recommend clubs for you to join. Club recommendations now reflect your activity, location, friends, and more.
How To Get Your Club Verified
If you run a chess club with a physical location, you can get your club verified so it shows up on our map. Mark your club as a Local Club when you create or edit it to get started. Note that verification is done manually, and you’ll need to provide information to confirm your club has a physical location.
