Fauci circus proves GOP doesn’t give a sh-t about the Constitution

The Senate Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee voted along party lines to hold Dr. Anthony Fauci in contempt of Congress for invoking the Fifth Amendment during a sham hearing last week.

“There is a real need for a serious bipartisan examination into what went well and what went wrong during our country’s response to the pandemic,” Democratic Sen. Maggie Hassan of New Hampshire said. “But that’s not what we saw last week in this committee.”

After Hassan called out Senate Republicans for their “political theater,” GOP Sen. Ron Johnson of Wisconsin repeated debunked lies about alternative COVID-19 therapies, like ivermectin.

“When I was chairman of this committee back in 2020,” Johnson began. “There was no cooperation in those hearings. As a matter of fact, I remember one when we held a hearing with Dr. Pierre Kory when he came in with all kinds of evidence on the effectiveness of ivermectin. The ranking member then denigrated him.”

Conveniently, Johnson failed to mention that the American Board of Internal Medicine revoked Kory’s certification in 2024 after finding that he peddled misinformation about the efficacy of ivermectin against COVID-19. Kory has also retracted the study that was foundational to his false claims.

Fauci’s choice not to participate in this political witch hunt has led the desperate GOP to try to deny him his constitutional rights—something that has become a common practice in the Trump regime.
