Dubai’s population in 2025

The emirate’s resident population now stands at 4.58 million, up from 4.248 million in 2024 and 3.974 million in 2023.

That represents a 7.53% increase between 2024 and 2025, following 6.66% growth the previous year.

Dubai’s daytime population tops 6.3 million

While 4.58 million people officially live in Dubai, the city’s daytime population rises to 6.392 million.

That’s because 1.812 million people commute into Dubai every day from other emirates for work and business, highlighting the city’s role as the UAE’s economic hub.

More men than women live in Dubai

The latest figures show:

• Male residents: 3.138 million (69%)
• Female residents: 1.442 million (31%)

Dubai remains a young city

The majority of Dubai’s population is made up of working-age adults.

The age breakdown is:

• Children (0–14 years): 600,300 (13.1%)
• Youth (15–35 years): 2.069 million (45.2%)
• Adults (36–59 years): 1.767 million (38.6%)
• Senior citizens (60+ years): 144,000 (3.1%)

The data shows that the majority of residents are between 18 and 59 years old, reflecting Dubai’s status as a city attracting professionals and young talent from around the world.
