UAE residents can now travel visa-free to Montenegro
A European getaway just got even easier
UAE residents who meet certain requirements can now travel to Montenegro without needing a visa, making it a great option for a quick escape.
The temporary visa-free entry applies until Thursday October 1, 2026, allowing eligible UAE residents to stay in Montenegro for up to 10 days.
Who is eligible?
To qualify for visa-free travel, UAE residents must:
- Hold a valid passport
- Have a valid UAE residence permit that has been maintained for at least three consecutive years
- Have a confirmed travel booking
- Fly directly from the UAE to Montenegro
- Stay in the country for no more than 10 days
At present, the only direct flights between the UAE and Montenegro are operated by flydubai, with daily services from Dubai to Tivat during the summer season.

A new way to pay for Emirates flights
Eligible UAE customers can now check out using Crypto.com Pay. If you’ve been looking for a new way to pay for your next holiday, Emirates has just added one.
The Dubai-based airline has officially launched Crypto.com Pay as a payment option, allowing eligible customers in the UAE to book flights using cryptocurrency through the Emirates website and app.
The new feature is available to UAE residents with a Crypto.com account who are booking flights priced in UAE dirhams (AED).
How does it work? If you’re booking through the Emirates App, simply select Crypto.com Pay at checkout. You’ll then be redirected to the Crypto.com app to approve the payment before returning to the Emirates app, where your booking confirmation and e-ticket will be issued.
For those booking on emirates.com, choose Crypto.com Pay at the payment stage, scan the QR code displayed on screen using the Crypto.com app and approve the transaction. Once completed, your booking confirmation and e-ticket will appear instantly.
