The Grand, Dubai’s newest mall, is opening next month
The Grand, a community mall will bring shopping, dining and wellness to Nad Al Sheba
Nad Al Sheba is getting a brand-new destination for shopping, dining and everyday essentials next month, as The Grand prepares to welcome its first visitors on Wednesday, August 19.
Opening in stages, the community mall will combine supermarkets, cafés, restaurants, wellness brands and lifestyle services, with even more names joining throughout the rest of the year and into 2027.
The first stores to open
Visitors heading to The Grand on opening day will find a selection of everyday essentials, with Waitrose leading the retail line-up. Joining the supermarket are MMI, Heart Cottage Lane, Maple Bear Nursery, Al Jaber Optical and Fixperts.
Whether you’re picking up groceries, dropping the kids at nursery or running errands, the first phase is designed to cater to day-to-day needs.
Popular dining spots are coming soon
The food offering will grow just weeks later, with a collection of well-known homegrown brands expected to open from early September.
Among those confirmed are Tashas, Somewhere Home Bakery, Kokoro, Blu Pizzeria, Bake My Day and Daima, while Staywell Pharmacy and Tips & Toes will also join the neighbourhood destination.
Looking ahead, Fitcode and American Hospital are expected to open in early 2027, expanding The Grand’s health and wellness offering.

More than just a mall
Rather than a traditional shopping centre, The Grand has been planned as a neighbourhood hub where residents can shop, grab a coffee, enjoy a meal or access everyday services in one place.
The development features open green spaces, landscaped surroundings and an airy architectural design intended to create a more relaxed community atmosphere.
Located within the wider Nad Al Sheba development, The Grand forms part of a growing residential area that will eventually include villas, townhouses, cycling tracks, walking paths, recreational facilities and an education campus.
More retailers, restaurants and experiences are expected to be announced as the remaining phases of the project are unveiled.
