Addressing Colonoscopy Burden due to Artificial Intelligence Devices for Polyp Detection
Recent randomized trials suggest artificial intelligence (AI) for polyp detection during colonoscopy increases adenoma detection, potentially leading to better protection against colorectal cancer (CRC).1 However, simulation2 and real-world data3 both show that this increase, mainly in nonadvanced adenomas, leads to more frequent surveillance colonoscopies.
