Just got back from a shooting vacation in Vegas. A high point was Christmas day, soaking in Tecopa natural hot springs near Death Valley surrounded by incredible mountain and desert scenery.
Couldn’t get a better picture of the springs because people were soaking nude in spots. My wife was a real trooper, ignoring the mud and primitive surroundings. She might have been encouraged seeing an elderly Korean couple wade in before us. Wonderful experience!
Tecopa, population 150, is on the Old Spanish Trail, and feels very remote, though there is an RV park and several run-down private spas in town. We actually saw a bobcat in an empty lot while driving through town in the middle of the day! He stopped and stared at us about 3 seconds, then sprinted away.
Fascinating place that I would like to visit again (drove through twice on this trip :))
