‘You can see, oh now, oh the way I do’
This one is for Pete Toulson, a ‘gentle giant’ of a man, who was a ‘Big Issue’ seller in York. His pitch was outside M&S. He tried so hard in life but sadly passed away last week. I know he wouldn’t want people moping around so I decided to donate some money to ‘Crisis at Christmas’ for each comment on the picture, I hope at least a little in his positive spirit.
He was such a positive guy but one thing that did upset him was when people just walked by.
Despite being homeless himself, Pete was always so concerned for others. With a conservative estimate putting the number of homeless in the UK at over 250 000 it seems a real shame for the ‘fifth biggest economy in the world’. Rather than feeling helpless, I decided that I would donate to ‘Crisis at Christmas’, an organisation that helps the homeless.
The links below are to the charity I mentioned and the news stories about Pete.
