I haven’t done a Macro Monday shot in a very long time … and I saw that the prompt this week was
“December Holidays /My Family’s Tradition." Since we FINALLY got our tree up yesterday, that meant we also put up all of our lights. I have a big vase that is filled with old bulbs, and it looked so colorful and festive this morning, all lit up with the lights behind it. This is a series of four macro shots of the various bulbs.
On another note, I just received my latest Getty invoice and was thrilled to see that one of my holiday images from last year: Peppermint Winter was licensed by Microsoft for a holiday desktop theme. It is the biggest sale I’ve made so far! I’ve sold quite a few images over the last six months, but none of them really amounted to much in terms of putting a pile of cash in my bank account!! 🙂
