While on our annual squirrel hunting trip this fall my 8 year old grandson said he was bored. So I asked him if he wanted to use one of my cameras and go see what he could photograph. He jumped at the opportunity and off he went with my camera and a big smile. I didn’t know what to expect when I looked over the photos and actually he did quite well. He took a lot of photos of his uncles and cousin, nice face portraits. He also took random photos of things around camp that looked interesting to him.
For Christmas I made a photo book of the pictures he took and you should of seen him smile when he opened that present. I had to fight back a tear or two myself.
Maybe….just maybe, I might have a photo buddy in the making.
