I took this two weeks ago during a recent Christmas Bobcat… errr, Christmas Bird Count. I know, I’m easily distracted. 😉
It was a cold, blustery winter day here in Florida and our numbers were down as a result, but I still managed 92 bird species for the day. I believe the circle total was 150, about 10 species below normal.
Update: This area is an amazing place for birding. Unfortunately, it was very dry out there this year. This and the high winds that day accounted for the lower than normal number of species on the count.
