Meal Prep & Leftover Tips

Crock Pot Pulled Pork: The pork shoulder, sometimes called a pork loin roast, has the ideal amount of fat and connective tissues that create tender and juicy pulled pork. You can use either a bone-in or boneless shoulder for pulled pork.

Classic Creamy Coleslaw: This slaw is even better if it’s had time to chill in the refrigerator for at least an hour. You can also prep a day ahead of time if needed.

Crock Pot Baked Beans: Make it vegetarian by leaving out the bacon. Want more heat? Add cayenne, red pepper flakes, chipotle, or candied jalapenos. Bump up the veggies with diced red and green peppers. Add turkey bacon, cooked ground sausage, or beef to turn it into a main dish.

Air Fried Sweet Potato Fries: Make sure to cut the sweet potatoes about the same size. This will ensure that they cook evenly.

Crescent Roll Cream Cheese Danish: Make sure that the cream cheese is softened, preferably at room temperature. Otherwise, the filling mixture will be lumpy.

Sweet Heat Pickles: Dill pickles are the only type of pickle that works. You can purchase whole pickles, spears, or slices.

Deviled Egg Pasta Salad: Use eggs that are at least a week old. Fresh eggs cling to the shell and make peeling a fight. Older eggs peel clean and fast every time.

Crispy Fried Okra: Fresh okra is the star. Look for pods that are bright green, firm, and no longer than three inches. Smaller pods are more tender and have less of the tough, fibrous texture that can make okra unpleasant.
