Contigofest ’26 launches CervezArts — fairly-paid, year-round cultural programming — and debuts a Mug Club where half of every membership pays local artists
PRESS RELEASE / October 6, 2026 (Boston, MA) – Roundhead Brewing Company, Massachusetts’ first Latino-owned brewery, celebrates four years in Hyde Park’s Westinghouse Plaza on Saturday, October 24, with Contigofest ’26 — a free, all-ages festival built around the brewery’s founding idea: cerveza que reúne, beer that brings people together.
That idea has deep roots: during the pandemic, co-owners Luis Espinoza and Craig Panzer raised $107,000 from 276 local families — an average investment of $387 each — to open Roundhead’s doors in Hyde Park.
This year, that idea grows a new branch. At Contigofest, Roundhead launches CervezArts, a year-round arts program that fairly pays local artists to perform and show their work at the brewery — taiko, jazz, film, flamenco, poetry, dance, and a curated gallery series — built in partnership with Trino Cultural Lab.
The same day, Roundhead opens its first Mug Club, capped at 65 members: half of every $200 membership goes directly to funding CervezArts and paying its artists.
Contigofest also marks the release of three new beers under one story, “Cerveza Que Reúne”: Pacha Mama, a porter brewed with Peruvian maca root honoring Indigenous Andean roots; Dos Mundos, a Merlot mixed-fruit barrel-aged ale marking the fusion of two cultures; and Valhalla, the first recipe that brought together co-owners Luis Espinoza and Craig Panzer, barrel-aged and re-bottled for the anniversary.
Co-owner Luis Espinoza:
“We started Roundhead exploring our own roots, now we’re making room for other people’s. Four years ago, we believed beer could bring people together, and today CervezArts, the Mug Club, and these new beers are helping us take that idea even further. After four years, we feel it’s time to give back to the community that helped us get here, by supporting artists, celebrating culture, and creating new ways for people to come together.”

About Roundhead Brewing Company
Roundhead Brewing Company is Massachusetts’ first Latino-owned brewery, a five-barrel brewery and community taproom at the historic Powerhouse at Westinghouse Plaza in Boston’s Hyde Park neighborhood. Founded by co-owners Luis Espinoza and Craig Panzer, who met on the sidelines of their kids’ Jamaica Plain Youth Soccer games, Roundhead’s mission is cerveza que reúne — beer that brings people together. The brewery pairs small-batch, Latino-influenced brews with creative food from its own pizza kitchen, and extends that mission through community partnerships and its new CervezArts cultural programming.
In its third year, Roundhead raised over $20,000 for local community organizations and in 2026 received a Massachusetts Historic Preservation Grant to help preserve its building, the historic B.F. Sturtevant Blowerworks Powerhouse, which Roundhead purchased in 2024.
