ROTT.Brewing’s taproom adds color to the local beer scene

Just shy of their 10th anniversary next year, ROTT. Brewing Company hit two major milestones this summer. In May, the Rotterdam brewery unveiled a redesigned logo, inspired by “a love for bold flavours, good vibes, and a splash of colour in everything we do”. Then in July, they opened their first taproom in the Schiebroek neighborhood. The taproom is also home to a new brew kit, which they’ll use for smaller, limited-edition brews. You have a great view of the tanks, while sipping on their refreshing brews. 

What’s on tap? Eight taps showcase the ROTT. range, and the taproom has its own house pils ROTT.PLSNR created for the venue, an excellent medium bitter thirst quencher at 5% ABV. The fridge offers cans of their other available beers, such as ROTT.ZERO, ROTT.DROOM, ROTT.STACK and more.

An extra treat for the hardcore beer fans: they also have some exclusive and select beers (including from other breweries). Ask for the ‘black book’. My friends and I tried two Halve Tamme stouts that were delicious!

The taproom doesn’t have a kitchen, but does provide some small bar snacks. They also allow you to order take-out and eat it there.
