At just one year old, this incredibly handsome American Bully has already shown us something that many people never learn: you don’t have to hear the world to experience all the love it has to offer.
Dakota is deaf but if you met him, you wouldn’t see a dog who is missing something. You would see a happy, playful, affectionate boy who loves life with his whole heart.
Dakota is neutered, fully vaccinated, crate trained, leash trained, he is currently learning sign language and he is ready to find his forever family. Dakota loves people.
Dakota adores children and greets everyone he meets with affection, excitement, and that wonderful American Bully personality that makes you smile from ear to ear. Dakota love and enjoys the company of other dogs.
He thrives with a canine companion and he currently enjoys spending his days with his sister. Having another friendly dog in his new forever home would be a dream come true for him.
But here’s the thing about Dakota, he doesn’t know he’s different. He doesn’t feel sorry for himself and he doesn’t wake up thinking about what he can’t do. Dakota wakes up ready to play, love, explore, go on adventures, be loved and cherished.
His beautiful white coat may be what catches your eye…black spots will dazzle you too.
It will be Dakota’s his heart is what will make you fall in love. Dakota is looking for someone who will look into those eyes and say: “I don’t care that you’re deaf. I care that you’re you!”
Dakota is looking for a special person who will learn his special ways of communicating through sign language cues.
He would love to find a special person who will give him a safe/loving home, a canine friend, a soft place to sleep, and a lifetime of love.
In return for giving Dakota a loving forever home, he will give you a lifetime of unconditional love from a dog who knows that love doesn’t need a sound.
