LOFTAPPS to Debut LOFT Software and Peek at Phil Tippett’s ‘Mad God’ Sequel at VIEW 2026

Berkeley, California-based LOFTAPPS has announced that LOFT, its production software for generative AI, will make its European debut at VIEW Conference 2026, running October 12-16 in Turin, Italy. Attendees will also get an exclusive sneak peek at the sequel to Mad God, the stop-motion feature from Academy Award-winning visual effects pioneer and filmmaker Phil Tippett, currently in production and powered by LOFT.

Introduced earlier this year, LOFT manages assets, creative intent, prompts, provenance, review, and production resources across complex pipelines and multiple AI models in a single system. Built as an AI-first product, it also supports hybrid workflows as studios move beyond their dependence on traditional digital content creation (DCC) software, and it is now shipping to select customers through a guided onboarding process.

“We developed LOFT as an AI-first solution for production, while supporting hybrid workflows that connect generation to the durable production structure needed to turn model outputs into managed, reviewable, and accountable assets,” said LOFTAPPS co-founder and CEO Gary Mundell. “Its value is a connected production process that fundamentally changes how production work is generated, multiplied and managed.”

Mundell joins CEOs and senior executives from across the VFX industry on the VIEW Conference panel “The State of VFX: Navigating a Changing Market,” on Wednesday, October 14, from 12:45 to 1:45 p.m. CET. The session covers shifting production volumes, cost pressures, consolidation, and global competition; Heiko Burkardsmaier, VFX executive producer and head of business and legal affairs at Accenture Song VFX, moderates.

On Thursday, October 15, from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m. CET, Mundell and LOFTAPPS CTO Remko Noteboom, with Tippett joining remotely, present “The Hybrid Trap: Why AI-Native Production Matters,” exploring why today’s hybrid approach to AI production may be solving the wrong problem. Drawing on LOFTAPPS’ production collaboration with Tippett, the panelists will share behind-the-scenes content from AI-supported film projects that demonstrate the director’s handmade visual style. Both panels take place in person at OGR Torino.
