Enhanced Performance Reports & Additional Interface Updates for Merchants: More Data, More Flexibility, More Ways to Grow Your Program  – AvantLink

Your affiliate program generates a tremendous amount of data—but having access to that data is only valuable if you can easily turn it into actionable insights.

AvantLink is continuing to invest in Performance Reports, bringing more of the functionality you rely on in Classic Reports together with new customization, drill-down, and product-level capabilities.

With these latest enhancements, you can build reports around the data that matters most to your business, move from high-level performance to transaction-level details with fewer clicks, and uncover opportunities that can help you optimize your program.

So, what’s new?

1. Customize Transaction Details and Coupon Code Summary Reports

You now have the ability to customize both the Transaction Details and Coupon Code Summary reports, giving you greater control over the data included in your reports.

In addition, new Transaction Attributes section has been added to the dimensions tree, providing additional ways to customize your reports.

Available dimensions include:

  • Coupon Code

  • AvantLink Transaction ID

We’ve also introduced a new Transaction Amount metric.

Transaction Amount combines sales amount and reversal amount into a single column, making it particularly useful for reports where you need to evaluate the overall transaction value in one place.

2. Access the Products Per Order Report

One of the most requested reporting capabilities – Products Per Order – is now available in Performance Reports.

This is the same Products Per Order report available in Classic Reporting, now brought into the Performance Reports experience.

What Does Products Per Order Show?

Products Per Order provides product-level visibility into individual orders, showing each product purchased as its own line item.

This makes it easier to answer questions such as:

  • Which products are affiliates driving sales for?
  • What products are appearing in individual orders?
  • Which products are contributing to affiliate-generated revenue?
  • What does an individual order look like at the product level?

3. Drill Down From Sales to Transaction Details

Performance Reports are now more interactive, making it easier to move from a high-level performance metric to the details behind it.

Similar to Classic Reports, the Sales metric is now hyperlinked. Click Sales, and the underlying Transaction Details report will open in a new tab.

Sales Drill Down Includes:

  • Available on reports containing the Sales metric
  • Supported in custom reports
  • Works with year-over-year and other date comparisons
  • Automatically updates the Transaction Details date range to match the selected reporting period
  • Carries dimensions from the parent report into Transaction Details as filter chips, providing a clear visual reference for how the results are being filtered

From Summary to Detail in Just a Click

This functionality makes it easier to investigate performance without having to manually recreate your report filters.

For example, if you’re reviewing sales generated by a particular affiliate during a specific period, you can click directly into the Sales metric and immediately access the underlying transaction details for that same reporting period and context.

And this is just the beginning. The Sales drill-down functionality creates the foundation for additional drill-down capabilities, including links to other reports, affiliate and merchant details, and individual order information.

4. Upload Bulk SKUs for Item-Based Commission Rules

Managing Item-Based Commission (IBC) rules just became significantly more efficient.

Merchants can now enter a list of SKUs and create a single commission rule from that list, rather than creating individual SKU rules one at a time.

Bulk SKU Rules

When using the new Multiple SKU functionality:

  • Pipes, commas, and spaces cannot be used as separators
  • A bulk delete option is now available for IBC rules
  • Search looks at the Rule Value and includes SKUs displayed in the Multiple SKU modal

Have Hundreds of Individual SKU Rules?

If you have a large number of individual SKU rules that should be consolidated into a single rule:

  • Bulk delete the existing individual SKU rules.
  • Create a new rule using the complete SKU list.
  • Enter one SKU per line.

For more information, see the Item-Based Commission support article.

Performance Reports are designed to give you more control over your data and make it easier to turn affiliate performance into actionable insights.

New functionality is being added regularly, and these updates are designed to make Performance Reports the more powerful and flexible reporting experience for merchants, affiliates, and admins.

The future of AvantLink reporting is being built in Performance Reports, and there’s more to come.

We will be happy to hear your thoughts
