Annual October Collaboration Returns with Fan-Favorite Jack-O Pumpkin Ale Donut
and a Mysterious New Angry Orchard Apple Cider Donut
PRESS RELEASE / October 1, 2026 (Boston, MA) – Kane’s Donuts is bringing back its popular fall collaboration with fellow New England favorites Samuel Adams and Angry Orchard this October, featuring two limited-edition seasonal donuts inspired by some of the season’s most anticipated sips.
Returning for 2026 is the Sam Adams Jack-O Pumpkin Ale Donut, alongside an all-new twist on Kane’s Angry Orchard Hard Apple Cider Donut, this year made with Angry Orchard Mystery Caller, a mystery cider featured in the brand’s new Thriller Variety Pack. Available for a limited time throughout October at all Kane’s Donuts locations, the collaboration gives customers a chance to enjoy two quintessential fall flavors, with one keeping them guessing.
The Sam Adams Jack-O Pumpkin Ale Donut returns as a perfectly pumpkin’d cake-style donut drenched in Kane’s award-winning honey glaze infused with a reduction of Samuel Adams Jack-O Pumpkin Ale. The seasonal beer brings together classic fall spices including cinnamon and nutmeg for a familiar autumn flavor.
This year, Kane’s is putting a mysterious spin on its Angry Orchard Hard Apple Cider Donut. The cake-style apple cider donut is made with fresh apple cider and a hint of cinnamon before being dipped in Kane’s signature honey glaze reduced with Angry Orchard Mystery Caller.
But there’s a catch: the flavor of Mystery Caller is a secret.
Part of Angry Orchard’s new ‘Thriller Variety Pack’, Mystery Caller joins three other Halloween-inspired ciders, Headless Pumpkin, Blood Orange and Caramel Apple Curse, but unlike its packmates, Mystery Caller keeps its flavor identity under wraps. Kane’s is inviting customers to taste the new donut throughout October and see if they can crack the mystery themselves.
“Our collaborations with Samuel Adams and Angry Orchard have become something we look forward to each fall, and this year we wanted to have a little more fun with it,” says Maria Delios, Co-Owner and Donut Master at Kane’s Donuts. “Jack-O is always a favorite, and using Mystery Caller in our apple cider donut gives our customers something completely new to try. We can’t wait to hear what everyone thinks the mystery flavor is.”
Samuel Adams Jack-O Pumpkin Ale is a seasonal pumpkin ale featuring cinnamon and nutmeg aromas reminiscent of freshly baked pumpkin pie, balanced by a crisp, refreshing finish. Kane’s has once again incorporated the award-winning beer into its signature honey glaze, creating a fall collaboration between two longtime Boston-area brands.
Angry Orchard Mystery Caller was crafted to be as elusive as it is refreshing, combining familiar fall and party-inspired flavors while leaving its exact identity a mystery. Rather than revealing what is inside, Angry Orchard is challenging fans to taste it for themselves, and now Kane’s customers can join the guessing game in donut form.
The two limited-edition donuts will be available at all Kane’s Donuts locations: 120 Lincoln Avenue in Saugus, 1575 Broadway at Essex Landing in Saugus, and 90 Oliver Street in Boston’s Financial District.
