
Further cementing its legacy of creative excellence, GMA Network programs and personalities emerged as National Winners at the 2026 Asian Academy Creative Awards (AACA).
GMA Public Affairs earned multiple wins at the prestigious ceremony.
The country’s highest-rating program, Kapuso Mo, Jessica Soho, took home Best News Program for its episode Tacloban School Shooting, while Biyahe ni Drew: Boracay Through the Eyes of the Locals, secured Best Lifestyle Program.
In the documentary categories, The Atom Araullo Specials: Baby Maker won Best Documentary, while Reporters’ Notebook: Saving Babies earned Best Documentary Series.
The critically acclaimed animated documentary film 58th, produced by GMA Public Affairs and GMA Pictures, was recognized for Best Animation. Fresh from its successful Philippine screening, 58th is also gaining momentum in its bid for Best Documentary Feature Film at this year’s Oscars, with the Film Academy of the Philippines supporting the film’s campaign.
Meanwhile, GMA News added to the Network’s haul with Drawing on Water: The History of the West Philippine Sea, taking home Best Documentary History.

More Kapuso entertainment programs and personalities were honored as National Winners, affirming the network’s commitment in delivering excellent content.
Continuing its remarkable legacy, GMA Entertainment Group also claimed major victories with its high-rating programs.
GMA Network’s action drama series The Master Cutter, bannered by Dingdong Dantes, gained recognition for Best Promo or Trailer, showcasing its visually gripping and intense scenes.
The country’s biggest reality singing competition, The Voice Kids Philippines, produced by GMA Network and ITV Studios, earned Best Adaptation of an Existing Format, for its successful 2025 Grand Finale episode.
Adding to the Network’s string of wins, Stars On The Floor secured Best Music or Dance Program.
Meanwhile, the country’s longest-running gag show, Bubble Gang, took home Best Comedy, further cementing GMA Network’s strength in comedy and entertainment.
Michael V. was named Best Actor in a Comedy Role for the all-time favorite comedy sitcom Pepito Manaloto: Tuloy Ang Kwento.
Capping off the Network’s triumphs, Viu’s original romance-drama series Love, Siargao, headlined by Alden Richards and Nadine Lustre, which airs on GMA, won Best Original Production by a Streamer. Nadine Lustre was also awarded Best Actress in a Leading Role.
The Asian Academy Creative Awards is a leading regional platform that recognizes outstanding achievements and creative excellence across the Asia-Pacific content industry. National Winners will advance to the Grand Awards and Gala Finals in Singapore this December, where they will represent their respective countries on the regional stage.
