This is how we end the season, huh?
Impressions:
Almost forgot that this show somehow wasn’t over yet. And boy, did it put in the extra effort to be the worst final episode of anything in this season. An accomplishment, to be sure. This whole season has been meandering, poorly paced, not focused on actual characters, and pointless, so let’s end it with… not a recap, not anything. A few bad jokes, particularly uncomfortable ones at that with a magical girl transformation sequence right into an old dude trying to entice his child ward into bed with him, empty space, and a tagline at the end to go buy the manga.
Pathetic, Cloverworks. I don’t expect a lot from you, but I expect better than this. This season was a pale shadow of the first in every way. No doubt there’s some announcement soon coming for either another season or a movie since this whole battle it decided to end on is an entire arc killing off half the antagonists. I also have to point out that it introduced like five of them in the opening episode of this season only for none of them to ever show up again, while ending this season on introducing even more that will never appear. Are we even trying to make a show here, or have we given up and accepted that it’s just a glorified commercial?
