
The Kakatiya Kala Thoranam from Telangana has received a bid of ₹10 lakh in the e-auction of gifts presented to Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The silver replica is among the three highest-bid items in a collection of around 1,500 mementos.
Listed as auction item 26A0205, the replica had a base price of ₹9 lakh. Its highest bid so far is ₹10 lakh, placing it third in the auction rankings.
Jagannath Parivar on Chariot (26A0554) has the top bid at ₹21 lakh. A silver Lord Ram memento from Karnataka (26A0214) is second, with a bid of ₹13,50,200.
The auction collection also features traditional handicrafts, deity idols, temple replicas, portraits of Modi and sports memorabilia. Other notable bids include ₹7.50 lakh for Tree of Life Gond Art and ₹6.50 lakh for a 99.99% fine gold-plated Radha Krishna artwork.
Around 14 gifts linked to Telangana, including items from former governor Tamilisai Soundararajan and other state leaders, are also on offer. A Cheriyal painting has received a bid of ₹54,100, while a smaller Kakatiya Kala Thoranam has received ₹30,700.
Other Telangana items include a Lord Ram memento, with a bid of ₹20,900, and a Warangal Gate and Ambedkar item, which has received ₹9,000. The memento auction has been held since 2018, and its proceeds have gone towards the Centre’s Namami Gange project.
