Winemaker Dallas Parnigoni also introduces Field Run, a limited, chillable red blend and his first fully produced red for the Adelaida District estate
October 1, 2026 (Paso Robles, CA) — Alta Colina Vineyard & Winery, a family-owned, 100% estate Rhône producer in Paso Robles’ Adelaida District, announces five fall releases, led by the debut 2024 Alta Blanca white blend and a rare standalone 2023 Grenache. New vintages of three estate favorites complete the lineup: the 2024 12 O’Clock High Viognier, 2023 Sun Worshipper (Mourvèdre blend), and 2023 Toasted Slope Syrah.

Arriving alongside the fall releases is the 2025 Field Run, a limited, chillable red blend and the first red wine Winemaker Dallas Parnigoni has made start to finish at Alta Colina.
Every wine comes from the estate’s 32 planted acres, farmed regeneratively on fractured shale soils up to 1,800 feet using no-till, cover crops, compost extracts, hand harvesting, and minimal-intervention winemaking. The estate exemplifies unique Rhône-style winemaking from Paso Robles’ westside.
The 2024 Alta Blanca – $48
Alta Blanca is Alta Colina’s newest core white, born from a spontaneous winemaking experiment. In 2024, while tasting through barrels of Marsanne and Roussanne to shape the Claudia Cuvée Marsanne and Model Citizen Roussanne wines, the team decided to pull the best of each variety and try blending them together. The result was outstanding and the team chose to bottle Alta Blanca in place of Claudia Cuvée and Model Citizen for the 2024 vintage.
The blend brings together Marsanne, Roussanne, Grenache Blanc, and Viognier, each harvested across multiple picks to layer different levels of acidity and ripeness into the finished wine. At 37% new French oak, Alta Blanca carries a richer oak profile than Alta Colina’s other core whites (Picpoul Blanc, Grenache Blanc, and 12 O’Clock High Viognier), balanced by full body and bright acidity. Pair it with chicken pot pie, savory scones, or butter-drenched lobster tail.
The 2025 Field Run – $48 (Special Release)
Field Run is a separate, limited release from the 2025 vintage, a pure expression of the vineyards or “fields” the wine comes from, and Dallas’s first harvest since joining Alta Colina. The winemaking team describes the medium-bodied, chillable Grenache, Syrah, and Mourvèdre blend as “food-versatile, crowd-pleasing, and highly quaffable.”
Dallas modeled Field Run on the partial carbonic wines of the Côtes du Rhône Villages, where locals can walk into a café and order a glass of local red that doesn’t need a ribeye or years in the cellar to be fully appreciated. Shaped by the cooler 2025 vintage, which held onto its acidity, the wine leans into young, expressive aromatics. It offers a fresh, more fruit-forward counterpoint to the Grenache, Syrah, and Mourvèdre blend in Alta Colina’s core lineup, the creatively named “GSM.”
“Field Run is a gateway for our Carbonic Grenache lovers and our age-worthy red fanatics to dabble in each other’s ‘dark side,’” said Dallas. “We wanted to show how beautiful a serious, drink-now red can be when you harvest, ferment, and age it for aroma and acidity.”
On the nose, the wine delivers tart blackberry and bubble gum meet bright candied cherry. The palate is refreshing, with medium, youthful tannins and a lingering finish that Founder Bob Tillman describes as “the essence of grape.”
“Field Run is the red I want on a warm afternoon, and it’s the one I’m bringing to Thanksgiving,” said Owner and Director of Sales & Marketing, Maggie Tillman. “That meal is heavy, but it’s not the turkey’s fault. It’s the potatoes, the stuffing, the casseroles, and on and on. You need a red with enough natural acid to keep up with the meal while not being another heavy thing on the table.”
Field Run is not part of the fall club shipments and is available to members and the public while supplies last.
The 2023 Grenache – $68
Alta Colina bottles a standalone Grenache only in exceptional vintages. The team farms its Grenache with blending in mind, but during 2023 blending trials, a handful of barrels showed too much character to fold into a blend. The wine spent 18 months in French oak and another 10 months in bottle before release.
Cranberry, pomegranate, and black cherry lead the fruit, with a background hum of barrel spice, clove, and smoke. The tannins are resolved and rounded, and the pomegranate from the nose returns to lengthen the finish. Pair it with pulled pork, grilled sweet potato, or Southern comfort food.
Back in the lineup are three estate mainstays: the 2024 12 O’Clock High Viognier ($48), a beautifully balanced new world take on Condrieu; the 2023 Sun Worshipper Mourvèdre blend ($68), a red that shows how naturally Mourvèdre thrives in Paso Robles; and the 2023 Toasted Slope Syrah ($68), a classic “Paso-style” Syrah.
