Capital One, like all US credit card issuers, offers bonus conversion offers with its travel partners, and it currently has one for British Airways, which was just launched today.
Capital One points to British Airways Avios conversions are bonused by 20% through October 31, 2026.

The usual Capital One to British Airways conversions are done at a 1:1 ratio, but now each point is worth 1.2 Avios.
Remember, you can transfer British Airways Avios between Finnair, Iberia, and Qatar Airways accounts without fees, since they all use the same loyalty currency but have different award rates.

Conclusion
I have been able to bring my Avios stash down from 800K to 150K over the past 12 months, and I still have enough left for any immediate needs.
Personally, I am not a huge fan of redeeming BA Avios for BA flights, as the fuel/carrier surcharges on their long-haul business and first class awards are eye-wateringly high, unless you choose the origin carefully (read more here).
There is use for Avios, and some awards using Qatar Airways Avios are excellent, especially those on CX. You can always just transfer them between Avios using programs without issues, like I recently did (read more here).
There are some sweet spots using Avios, but I urge you not to convert unless you have a clear plan to use them, as there will always be conversion offers with partners.
