We’re joined by Andy from Andy’s Watches, one of the most recognizable voices in the watch-collecting world on TikTok and Instagram. We first met Andy almost by accident at Geneva Watch Days, and what started as a conversation over dinner quickly turned into an invitation to come on the podcast. From discovering watches through Panerai in a Bruce Willis movie and buying his first serious watch, a Frederique Constant, to building a collection around genuinely personal pieces.
We get into how that passion eventually turned into content creation, the story behind his now-famous unsolicited watch-collection ratings, his growing relationships with brands and collectors, and what it was like unexpectedly connecting with Ryan Reynolds in Geneva. We also talk about H. Moser, Geneva Watch Days, independent watchmaking, Andy’s decision to leave a job he hated and take the leap into content creation, and the importance of mental health along the way.
