We found our pumpkins for 2022! Due to illness last weekend, we had to miss the Pumpkin Parade. The first time we have missed it since I was pregnant with Thibault. Well, we found a great replacement. Thibault and I pass the pumpkins for sale sign in ‘t Rooth every week on our drive to swimming lessons. We checked it out with Jaap on Saturday. The pumpkins were beautiful, plentiful, diverse, and inexpensive! I loved it.
Thibault’s job was to design the front porch pumpkin display for the second year in a row. He has a talent for design. I swear he does a better job than me with these things. I love it. It looks beautiful. Once again. I can’t wait to see what he decides to do with the Christmas tree.
Saturday mornings are hockey days. Flora is happy to be back at hockey again. There are some parents coaching on Fridays now and I think it has helped a lot. Jaap was co-coach on Saturday and they won. Flora has been very happy to go to practices and matches again. It makes me feel good. Deep down I knew that she still loved it, so I’m happy the good hockey feelings are returning again. She gave gymnastics a try last weekend. She didn’t seem to love it, so there was no further interest to continue. But, I’m really proud of her for giving it a try. It makes me feel good that she can step outside of her comfort.
Flora is almost as tall as me now. I can’t believe!
In other news, I’m recovering from laryngitis. When it rains it pours! September really sucked for me. Mom’s illness, Thibault suffering from krentenbaard for a whole week, then I get laryngitis. It’s like a horrible joke.
October is here and I’m happy! My voice is slowly returning. Still on vocal rest. XOXO
