JACQUELINE ROUSE: Easy to “see” Jesus here

The house we are working on in Marion was well underway when we began work on Monday. We’ve spent this week mudding and sanding the walls in preparation for paint. Today a couple of us even got the glory of beginning the next step with primer! While others worked on adding siding and soffit to the exterior.

This past week Nancy Fish, one our esteemed Fuller riders, who is often found volunteering with Disaster Rebuilders when she isn’t riding, has been here preparing dinner for us and supporting us in so many other ways! Thanks Nancy!

She asked us one day this week where we saw Jesus. I’ve got to say he’s with us all day every day!!! In the beauty of the countryside we are surrounded by each day as we drive to the build site. He’s the hands of all volunteers as I watch them work and his mouth with kinds words of affirmation that are abundantly shared. It’s all the volunteers who came before us and those who will come after until the house is complete.

It’s Jacob our site coordinator who chose to work for Disaster Rebuilders and Brad our Bike Adventure Coordinator who chose to serve others when they could have taken a self serving path instead. Yes, Jesus is here, he is here indeed!!!
