This episode is mostly anime only content. It opens with Captain Commander Shunsui Kyoraku, unconscious, talking to a young Jushiro Ukitake. Shunsui asks why has he come to see him and Ukitake believes that Yhwach is going to “annihilate” the Three Worlds. While Ukitake assumes this outcome will result in his death, he has hope that Shunsui will come up with a plan.
In the real world, Uryu reaches the upper level of the castle. He shoot an arrow into the Seed of Destruction, however, the Seed deflects the attacks. Suddenly, Pesche Guatiche, Dondochakka Birstanne, Nelliel Tu Odelschwanck, and Tier Harribel arrive. Harribel questions Uryu’s motives before Shunsui and Nanao appear as well. Uryu claims that as a Quincy his duty is to destroy the Seed of Destruction. In the past, Soken Ishida created the Seed, by combining different species of Souls, he created a souls of a higher level. Unfortunately, he couldn’t control the power. This is what Yhwach is seeking.
Shunsui explains that they need to “removing both the distortion and the Seed of Destruction by making them collide and negating Yhwach’s plan along with them.” Uryu intends to do this on his own, but Harribel and Nelliel decide to help. He will use secret Quincy, Leiden Scherben, to destroy the five bridge of Wahrwelt.
Ichigo’s despair
Yhwach stand in front of a wounded Ichigo who has lost all hope after his True Bankai and all his friends attacks failed. Yhwach decides to take back the power he gave Ichigo using a final Auswählen. The absorbing power reduces Gerard Valkyrie to a skeleton while also removing the remaining of Lille Barro’s flamingo entities, and Mimihagi. Yhwach assumes victory, only for the explosives to go off. Uryu challenges him in his Vollstandig form.
While Ichigo is rescued, Harribel and Nelliel join Uryu in his fight. Uryu uses his intellect and Antithesis to trap Yhwach in the Seed of Destruction chamber. As the explosion begins, Uryu uses his Heilig Pfeil banded together “in long, thick strips and wrap around the explosion hundreds of times, overlapping each other to form a spherical barrier that compresses around the explosion.” Unfortunately, Yhwach survives. He announces that “that every single Schrift has been sublimated into The Almighty,” and as a Dimensional Portal to the Seireitei opens in front of him.
Yhwach claims that the world will end in nine days.
