Gleison Bremer, Francisco Conceicao and Pierre Kalulu reflected on Juventus’s 1-0 win at Frosinone after the Bianconeri created a string of chances at Stadio Benito Stirpe.
Bremer’s 22nd-minute header from a Conceicao cross proved decisive, but it came after the Brazilian had turned a free header wide from a Douglas Luiz short-corner routine and Randal Kolo Muani had ballooned over from point-blank range. Kalulu also had a ferocious strike palmed onto the upright by Lorenzo Palmisani, while Conceicao missed from close range after a Zeki Celik assist, and Kolo Muani was denied by a sliding tackle from Gabriele Calvani.
Speaking to Dazn after the match, as reported by Tuttosport, Kalulu noted that the game could have finished differently. Frosinone also hit the woodwork late on when Calvani’s free header from a corner struck the frame after Mattia Perin replaced Guglielmo Vicario, who went down with cramp in the final minute.
Bremer and Conceicao echo the same message
Bremer was pleased with his goal but said Juventus could have settled the win in the first half. He also stressed that there is work to do, with some new players having only recently joined the squad. The defender added that set-pieces can be important in tight matches, as they were against Frosinone.
Conceicao, who supplied the assist for Bremer, agreed that Juventus had opportunities to score two, three or four goals. He said the priority was securing the win and pointed to the team’s attacking options as it works to improve on last season.
Kalulu also spoke to reporters in the post-match press conference, saying Luciano Spalletti’s side have worked on a number of different schemes and that it was only the first matchday. He said the work had brought greater automatisms to the team.
