YUI ONODERA \u2013 MIZUNIWA<\/a><\/em><\/strong>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\"Also\"Also<\/a><\/h3>\n

Tokyo-based sound artist Yui Onodera<\/a><\/em><\/strong> presents an ode to the Nasu <\/em>region in Japan, \u2018home to a harmonious coexistence of northern and southern plant species\u2019. <\/em>
On the hills of the Nasu mountains, Junya Ishigami<\/em> created the \u2018Water Garden<\/a>\u2018, <\/em>an ever-evolving masterpiece of landscape art that \u2018blurs the lines between architecture, landscape design, art, and environmentalism.<\/em><\/p>\n

This inspired Onodera<\/em><\/strong> to create a musical \u2018symphony of nature\u2019. <\/em>Expect a lot of environmental sounds of rain, murmuring water, rustling trees, and the whisper of leaves to converge with the warm sounds of synths and electric guitar. There is nothing new in the use of environmental sounds in ambient music (in fact it seems to be some kind of standard), but few recordings feel as well-balanced as a Japanese garden.<\/p>\n

Minizuwa is released on the Decaying Spheres label. Unfortunately, the cassette editions are already sold out, so for now only the digital download remains.<\/p>\n
