PETA U.S. and other PETA entities are leading the charge, planning eye-catching events targeting brands\u2014including Herm\u00e8s, Louis Vuitton, and Gucci\u2014that still peddle cruelly obtained exotic skins.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image aligncenter size-large\">\n<a href=\"https:\/\/www.peta.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/04\/10-Days-Take-Down-Exotic-Skins-Campaign-beverly-hills-gucci.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.peta.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/04\/10-Days-Take-Down-Exotic-Skins-Campaign-beverly-hills-gucci.jpg\" alt=\"actvists protest exotic skins at louis vuitton beverly hills\"\/><\/a><br \/>\n<\/figure>\n<p>\u201cWhen will [your company] take seriously its need to evolve to stay relevant by using only sustainable, luxurious vegan materials that don\u2019t involve the torture and slaughter of exotic animals?\u201d That\u2019s the tough question that a PETA U.S. representative asked at Herm\u00e8s\u2019 annual meeting. We have exposed cruelty on reptile farms on three continents (<a href=\"http:\/\/investigations.peta.org\/crocodile-alligator-slaughter-hermes\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Africa, North America<\/a>, and\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/investigations.peta.org\/vietnam-crocodile-skin-farm\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Asia<\/a>) and each time have shown that these intelligent, sensitive animals endure squalid imprisonment and a violent death.<\/p>\n<p>For those who can\u2019t join the week of action\u2019s effort by demonstrating, PETA is supplementing the campaign with an active online component.
