Preflight fun @ JFK<\/h2>\n

At New York-JFK Qatar Airways operates out of Terminal 8, the home base of its oneworld alliance partner American Airlines. Qatar currently operates three flights a day out of New York, spaced out across the day. <\/p>\n

Qatar Airways doesn\u2019t operate its own lounge at JFK, but that\u2019s fine because American and British jointly operate three of them at JFK. Passengers flying a premium cabin with any of American\u2019s oneworld partners get access to the Greenwich Lounge, which is where we spent our pre-flight time. <\/p>\n

It\u2019s a fresh-looking space with plenty of seating. One of its focal points is a big champagne and wine bar right at its center. Then there are two unique corners of the lounge: a pub with beer and bar bites called the Tasting Room, and the more cocktail-focused Bridge Bar. <\/p>\n

Those spaces aren\u2019t open in the morning so we couldn\u2019t visit them this time. We didn\u2019t mind, since the great views onto the ramp kept us well-entertained. <\/p>\n
